Harry Potter star jailed for two years for violent disorder during London riots

A star of the Harry Potter films has been sentenced to two years in prison for being part of a violent mob took to the streets during the riots last summer in London.

Jamie Waylett, 22, who has played Hogwarts bully Vincent Crabbe in six films, was found guilty of violent disorder on Tuesday.

The jury at Wood Green London Court, the crown took three hours to reach their verdicts.
  • The actor, who had admitted drinking a bottle of champagne stolen during the riots, was acquitted of the intent to destroy or damage property with an incendiary bomb was photographed holding.
It has already been convicted for possession of cannabis.
