Our at-a-glance guide to the University of Winchester

Winchester is a relatively small university with approximately 3,000 full-time students and a similar number of part-time courses, making it a friendly and informal, where students are free to develop as persons. Its long history as a normal school education means that there is a goal, but there is a wide range of other courses that are offered, too. Winchester Cathedral is a beautiful city with a refined, excellent shops and pubs, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes.

Accommodation


the on-campus housing guaranteed or administered to all first-year full-time undergraduates who Winchester as their firm choice. The university tries to accommodate all students with insurance quotes and application through compensation. Costs range from £ 3644.13 £ 5168.80 for a week to 28, 37 or 40 weeks of contract a week.

Facilities
The student union of £ 10m includes a space capacity of 1200 seats. Excellent sports facilities with an athletics track and field Olympic level hockey in all weather and sports in general. A new £ 5.6m state-of-the-art teaching and learning in the construction of King Alfred Campus is scheduled to open in 2012. Includes eight classrooms and an atrium containing a mezzanine with open access and PC social learning areas.

A 10-minute walk from the town center and train station. Winchester is an hour from London and 20 minutes from Southampton. Bus services are good.
